The Story Behind KingPowerFit
Hi, my name is Richie Hai, founder of KingPowerFit.
I’m a qualified personal trainer, truck driver, husband, and family man with a passion for health and fitness that has been part of my life for more than 18 years.
Today, I work 12-hour days, 6 days a week as a truck driver while supporting my family. Like many hardworking men, I understand how difficult it can be to balance work, family responsibilities, and trying to stay fit and healthy at the same time.
How KingPowerFit Was Born.
Most fitness websites that write about truck driver fitness are written by people who have never sat behind the wheel of a truck.
For the last 10 years, I’ve been driving trucks, often working long shifts, starting early mornings, and trying to find ways to stay healthy while juggling family commitments and everyday responsibilities.
I’m also a former qualified personal trainer.
That combination gives me a unique perspective.
When I write about tight hips from sitting all day, I’ve felt it.
When I write about shoulder stiffness and back pain, I’ve experienced it.
When I write about 4am gym sessions before work, I’m living it.
KingPowerFit wasn’t created in an office. It was born during the quiet hours of early morning truck drives.
Although I was promoted into an office roll as a leading hand, I eventually chose to return to driving. Those early mornings on the road gave me something I couldn’t find behind a desk—time to think, reflect and be creative.
Every morning, while driving to my first delivery, I listen to informative audiobooks, podcasts and personal development content. Those quiet moments allow me to think about my life, my family, and how I can become a more valuable person. I truly believe that when your mind is at peace, your best ideas begin to surface.
That’s where KingPowerFit was born.
This website wasn’t built because I wanted to create another fitness blog. It was built because I wanted to help truck drivers who face the same challenges that I experience every day—long shifts, limited time, fatigue, and trying to stay healthy while providing for their families.
Everything you’ll read here comes from my own experiences. I’m not researching truck driver fitness—I’m living it.
My hope is that by sharing what I’ve learned along the way, I can help other drivers become healthier, stronger, and live longer for the people and things that matter most.
I created KingPowerFit to help hardworking men become stronger, healthier & more confident, even when life gets busy. If you’re struggling to fit fitness around work and family. I hope the lessons and strategies I’ve learnt can help make your journey a little easier. If that sounds like you, I want to share the strategies, habits, and lessons that have helped me stay active despite long work hours and family responsibilities.

My Mission
To help hardworking family men build a stronger body, sharper mind, and healthier future.
I want to show men that fitness doesn’t require perfect circumstances. You don’t need unlimited free time, expensive equipment, or a perfect routine.
You simply need a plan that fits your lifestyle and a willingness to stay consistent.
Fitness has taught me far more than how to build muscle.
It’s taught me discipline, patience, consistency and resilience. That’s why I believe fitness is a metaphor for life. The same habits that build a stronger body are often the same habits that build stronger families, careers and character. That’s the philosophy behind everything I write on KingPowerFit.
Everything I share on this website comes from a combination of personal training education, real-world experience, and lessons learned while balancing work, family, and fitness over the years.
I’m building KingPowerFit while working full-time as a truck driver because I want to help other men who may feel stuck, unfit, or unsure where to begin take positive steps towards improving their physical and mental health.
Join Me On The Journey
KingPowerFit is not an online coaching business.
I’m simply sharing the experiences, strategies, and habits that have helped me make fitness part of my life despite working long hours and raising a family.
Whether you’re building you’re feeling burnt out on the road, trying to get back into shape, looking for practical workouts around work, or searching for simple ways to stay healthy on a busy schedule, I hope KingPowerFit helps point you in the right direction.
If I can find a way to make fitness work around 12-hour shifts, family commitments, and everyday life, I believe you can too.
